My 5th baby, and 1st daughter, was born 2 days before Thanksgiving in 1995.
We went home on Thanksgiving day, and I planned on getting home and cooking the turkey and fixings that I had bought before going to the hospital. But when I got home, my sister was there and all the cooking was done for me! She spent the day at my house, cooking and cleaning, and eagerly waiting to meet her new niece.
That was the 1st time in my adult life that I didn’t cook the dinner. It made me feel so loved.

Greatest Thanksgiving memory was when I did my first Thanksgiving Turkey well I didn’t realize that you had to take out the gizzards and neck and other stuff inside it before I put it in the oven, other than that it was great my first bird it wasn’t that bad, Lesson learned! So lets just say I don’t do the turkey anymore, lol.

When I was younger we always went to my grandmother’s house, I miss those days as she passed away several years ago. We still celebrate the holiday but it’s not the same since so my family members have passed away over the years.
