I have 12 of these lights as I find them perfect for many of my plants
However, as you can imagine programming each individual light can be tedious if conditions change or if power is interrupted. I have another substandard light that allows bypass of the inline timer function allowing to control the light with a smart plug... One smart plug, one power bar and a bank of these lights would be perfect for me.
As for the upgrade they do seem sturdier yay.
Black would also be a nice option.
Overall very pleased.
Love these little lights. I replaced a set of cheap, clip-on bar lights. These are brighter and much more attractive. They don’t distract from the plants. I clip them onto the side of a small table instead of the pots and it seems to work well. I am debating getting a third for my succulents, but hoping two will be enough. Timer works well too
Super bright, but dimmable. I like how the neck is sturdy and easy to adjust and holds in place great. The timer gives me lots of control for my plant's diurnal cycle. Clamp is sturdy and offers a very firm grip. And a good price, to boot!

The lights have a fairly consistent timer and the lights seem plenty bright. My one issue is with one of the plugs. For some reason it has a fairly loud buzz which makes using it insufferable. The other plugs with the same light had no issue so im not sure what that is all about. My pothos, monstera adansonii, and tradescantia do enjoy the light though 😁
