I have a big family from different states so our Thanksgiving are never the same! Sometimes we travel and other times we stay home with the family here. I just love spending time with my family and eating lots of good food and desserts! This year is going to be a little different for us as it is the first Thanksgiving without my pappaw here but I am thankful for the family that I have to spend it with still. Blessings to all and hope everyone’s Thanksgiving is filled with lots of love, food and laughter!
We have Friendsgiving Dinner every year – bacon-wrapped turkey!
I love Thanksgiving because it IS a time we get to count our blessings (and not our Christmas presents!). My sister used to host dinner, but since our parents are in their 90’s, she and her famiily come in from out of town and we all go to my parents. My niece and nephew just turned teenagers, so it’s fun entertaining them. Our day is very traditional: Turkey, ham, LOTS of homemade dressing, green bean casserole, corn, carrot coins and homemade mashed potatoes. Visiting with everyone and catching up. I can’t wait!
